“Having the likes of Jack White or Imagine Dragons play an instrument that you wrapped for their performances, and the fact that it will be seen by a large scale of people on television, is both exhilarating and overwhelming” says Sino Tour, co-owner of Icon Image Graphics. – The Big Picture Magazine (August 2014 Issue)
We had another memorable year wrapping instruments for high-profile musicians at various televised events, from the Grammy Awards to American Idol. Whether it was a full set of instruments (an organ, grand piano, keyboards, drums, amps, etc.) or just a couple of distinct musical pieces for a certain artist, we continue to witness the inevitable trend of vinyl film being utilized in another industry or capacity for cosmetic/ aesthetic purposes. The entertainment community is also realizing that “paint” is no longer the sole option for their creative endeavors as different grades, textures, and colors of vinyl film (courtesy of topnotch graphic manufacturers such as 3M, Avery Dennison & Hexis) are becoming more accessible and less expensive to use on stage and film.
